On January 18, Business and Economic Centre (BEC) organized the second training in Akhaltsikhe region in cooperation with the international organization “Mercy Corps” and with the financial support of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

On December 22, Business and Economic Centre hosted working group meeting of the project “Legislative platform on agriculture and food safety issues” with the aim to discuss the veterinary issues: epizootic situation in Georgia and animal identification/passportization.

On December 8, Business and Economics Centre hosted the presentation organized in frame of the project "Legislative Platform on Green Economy". The meeting was attended students from Free and Agricultural University, Georgian Technical University and Ilia State University.
On December 7, Business and Economic Centre with cooperation of international organization “Mercy Corps” conducted one day training in Akhaltsikhe. Aim of the training “Advocacy and civil society’s participation in policy making process” was to develop and strengthen lobby group capacity.
On November 3, Business and Economic Centre hosted the working group meeting which discussed the draft law on “Free Trade and Competition” initiated by the Government of Georgia. The round table was attended by the deputy chairman of the parliament of Georgia, MPs from the committee on sector economy and economic policy.
On November 2, Business and Economic Centre hosted the round table, which discussed the draft of food safety code. The meeting was organized in the frame of the ongoing project “Legislative Platform on Agriculture and Food Safety Issues”.
On October 25, Business and Economic Centre hosted the environmental protection working group meeting, which was organized in the frame of the climate Week in Georgia.
On October 7, Business and Economic Centre hosted a meeting with participation of representatives of the civil society and the government. During the meeting the following issues were discussed.
