7 მარტს, 12:00 საათზე, საქართველოს პარლამენტში გაიმართება ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების საერთაშორისო განვითარების სააგენტოს (USAID) ‘’მმართველობა განვითარებისთვის’’ (G4G) და ბიზნესისა და ეკონომიკის ცენტრის პროექტის -‘’საჯარო და კერძო სექტორებს შორის დიალოგის პლატფორმის გაძლიერება საქართველოს პარლამენტში’’ პრეზენტაცია.

 



On December 19 2016 the public discussion on State Policy to Address the Systemic Human Rights Violations was held, which was organized by the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and Business and Economic Center (BEC).

 

 

ორშაბათს, 19 დეკემბერს, 10:30-13:00 საათზე, სასტუმრო ბილტმორ თბილისში, საქართველოს პარლამენტის იურიდიულ საკითხთა კომიტეტისა და ბიზნესისა და ეკონომიკის ცენტრის (BEC) ორგანიზებით, გაიმართება საჯარო დისკუსია : ’წარსულის პირისპირ: ადამიანის უფლებათა სისტემური დარღვევები და სახელმწიფო რეაგირების პოლიტიკა’’.



10 ნოემბერს, დიპლომატების, საქართველოს პარლამენტის და ბიზნეს სექტორის წარმომადგენელთა უნარ-შესაძლებლობების გაძლიერების კუთხით უფრო მჭიდრო თანამშრომლობის მიზნით, საქართველოს საგარეო საქმეთა სამინისტროს ლევან მიქელაძის სახელობის დიპლომატიურ სასწავლო ცენტრსა და ბიზნესისა და ეკონომიკის ცენტრს (BEC) შორის გაფორმდა ურთიერთგაგების მემორანდუმი. მემორანდუმს ხელი დიპლომატიური სასწავლო ცენტრის დირექტორმა მაია ყიფშიძემ და ბიზნესისა და ეკონომიკის ცენტრის აღმასრულებელმა დირექტორმა ნათია კაციაშვილმა მოაწერეს.



On August 22-26, Business and Economic Centre hosted the delegation of African political leaders led by the presidential candidate of Democratic Republic of Congo and the founder of the United Congolese Party Mr. Christian Musumari Malanga.

The 28-member delegation visited Georgia in the framework of the BEC African Leaders Programme, after the recommendation from the UK-based Enterprise and Parliament Dialogue International, with the purpose of becoming familiar with Georgian reforms and experience of democratization.

 

Lecture series on "The Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement" (DCFTA) are provided by the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in cooperation with Business and Economic Centre (BEC).

The Second topic “Free Trade and the models of Economic Integration", was delivered on June 16, by Ms. Marine Macharashvili, Head of Division of WTO Affairs and Policy, Department of Foreign Trade Policy Ministry of Economy & Sustainable Development of Georgia.




The Public Discussion on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) System Institutionalization in Georgia was organized by BEC together with and hosted by the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia in cooperation with the Administration of Government of Georgia and EU Delegation to Georgia.

The purpose of the meeting was to ensure dialogue of legislators with the executive branch of the government, stakeholders, experts and other interested parties on Recommendations on RIA National Framework prepared by G4G; to agree on key steps of the RIA System Institutionalization process and support informed participation of legislators in the policy and legislation development process.


On June 14, at 12:00 there will be a public discussion held on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Institutionalization in Georgia at the Parliament of Georgia. The discussion is organized by the Parliament of Georgia together with the Business and Economic Centre (BEC), and in cooperation with the Administration of Government of Georgia in the framework of the USAID funded Project “Governing for Growth’’ (G4G) - “Establishing Public-Private Dialogue Platform in parliament” which is conducted by the Business and Economic Centre (BEC).



On June 6, from 15:00 to 17:30 pm, the Business and Economic Centre (BEC) hosted the next Expert and Stakeholder Workshop on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) System Institutionalization in Georgia which was held in the framework of the USAID funded Project “Governing for Growth’’ (G4G) - “Establishing PPD Platform in Parliament.”

The purpose of the working meeting was to discuss in detail: the Georgian context related to the legal drafting and analysis of the impacts of normative acts; Recommendations on RIA National Framework of Georgia; Importance of the RIA System in Georgia, possibilities of its institutionalization and its challenges as well as review of activities of the field experts and stakeholders regarding RIA.



On June 2, the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia together with Business and Economic Centre started series of lectures on "The Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement" (DCFTA).

The Course is intended for the Georgian business sector representatives, including Economic Policy Advocacy Coalition (EPAC) member business associations.
