On December 2, Business and Economic centre hosted Tax and Customs legislative group (TCLG) meeting, which was supported by Canada Fund for Local Initiatives and BP Georgia.  Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff, experts, NGOs and representatives of business organizations attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting Mr. Vakhtang Balavadze, deputy chairman of Budget and Finance Committee was officially chosen as the chairman of TCLG. BEC prepared the list of issues which were identified during the previous meetings and made a presentation of future action plan. Participants discussed all these issues and chose the most important themes. In the nearest future, the centre will prepare the schedule of next meetings.

During the meeting, members of the group discussed the issue of releasing imported baby food and hygienic things from VAT. Representative of ″Tommee Tippee″ presented concrete case. TCLG discussed and made some recommendations what should be done for solving this problem.

In the nearest future, BEC will prepare the themes and material for the next meeting.
