June 10 at 14:00 Business and Economic Centre hosted a meeting “Youth Reaction for Peace action” within the framework of the project. The aim of the event was to initiate a dialogue between the young residence of conflict zones and representatives of government on the current situation in occupied territory. Participants met Mr. Shota Malashkhia, Chairman of the Temporary Commission on Territorial Integrity Issues.

Shota Malashkhia introduced the report on the activities of the commission of the last two years where the facts of ethnic cleansing of Georgians by Russia were represented. He also introduced the joint project of the Ministry of Culture, Monuments Protection and Sports, Temporary Commission on Territorial Integrity Issues and Public Broadcasting. According to this project 15 different films should be directed about the occupation of Georgia.

The meeting was held as the final stage of the project. According to this project training sessions were held in 5 different regions (Marneuli, Gori, Zugdidi, Batumi, Tbilisi). As a result the organizers selected a group a young people who took part in the conclusion meeting and initiated a discussion in the parliament of Georgia.

At the end of the day the staff of the Business and Economic Centre conducted an excursion for the young people in the Parliament of Georgia.
