On July 15, Business and Economic Centre (BEC) hosted a meeting which was attended by NGOs involved in peace building process and the Ministry of Reintegration. The meeting was dedicated to the cooperation of the government of Georgia and civil society on peacebuilding issues. Participants discussed economic aspects and their importance in the Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian- Ossetian relationship; various opinions were expressed by participants how the government can support the existing process. Guests also discussed health and education issues.
At the end of the discussions, it was decided that Business and Economic Centre will organize the series of meetings with the aim to improve the efficiency of communication and support better cooperation between the government and civil society on peacebulding issues.
After the meeting it became obvious to participants that the lack of similar meetings reflects negatively on the quality of communication and cooperation between the government and civil society.
